beetroot team wins 3rd MEGA ΕΒΓΕ Award ! and then some …

it did come as a surprise, at least to me, as this is the 3rd MEGA ΕΒΓΕ in a row ! congrats to all teamsters, many thanks to our supporters, and no thanks to particular ‘anonymous‘ shitheads for making their best to disqualify the Marsheaux video ΕΒΓΕ Prize by means of false accusations.
thank you, you fucking cunts & donkey-punch biatches, whoever & wherever you are, for further solidifying my adamant faith in the meta-greek sleeze and abysmal genetic (or so it seems) predisposition to lie, falsify & backbite.

vile, spite & resentment of this magnitude won’t get you that far ahead in the game, you know. it does take too much of ‘working class’ resilience, irreparable emotional injuries and dear personal sacrifices in order to keep up with this line of work/lifestyle. shame.

here’s the winning entry once again:

here’s the motion logo treatment for the ‘megaron’ of thessaloniki. created at beetroot.

it consists of particles animated under force influence from target to target. i did the music to suit last night as a study on Penderecki.

myspace.com/doservice

had to do it sometime.. and i did.. after all these years i’m back on myspace (well.. sort of)

my link is at http://www.myspace.com/doservice

the page requires a lot of work still and i do have to write some info stuff in as well.. however, i’ve already managed to get rid of most of the typical “myspace” cluttered crap, and lay out  a video playlist player along with a large amount of some ancient audio stuff i’d been doing since the mid-80′s …

nah.. i’m not doing this in order to “meet people” – the utter cynic and misanthrope i am – but it’s nice to have a place to share some new music, whenever this rears its ugly head !

do keep checking for more and newer stuff very soon !

doservice …umm.. no, i don’t do service, not really ..  it’s supposed to denote “denial-of-service” …

keene †

keene is now over & done with.. this, however, is most of the visual material i’d prepared for my former musical project.

the first video on the playlist is the proper promo for the track called “door on glass”. the audio track is heavily edited yet, it doesn’t so much differ from the orginal version on the the cd (btw, you can get the cd at the LOTUS record shop)

the second video is the promo i started preparing for a new and eventually unreleased track called “multitudes”. this was only seen and heard live during the reworks festival in 2007. almost all of the video is processed 9/11 material..

the third and fourth vids are the opening and the finale the above mentioned live gig. most of the visual were programmed in the processing environment and were audio-reactive during play!

i hope that this post captures a little bit of the bleak and gloomy spirit of those, thankfully,  long-gone days.

attrition

these are two pieces created for the legendary electronic uk band ATTRITION in 2000-2002.

the first one, is an intro piece for the cdROM of the time and the second is my take on the track “A Few Of My Favourite Things”, which originally appeared on the album “The Jeopardy Maze” in 1999. Of course, i re-mixed and did quite a bit of additional production on the track in order to suit my editing needs! Later on, i was given the chance to do another remix of the track “Waste Not, Want…More” which appears on the compilation “The Hand That Feeds”.

The second video was largely produced on vj-ing software and a little bit of After Effects and is quite hardcore as it is mainly composed from pieces of porn-video which was cut-up, processed and, ultimately, semi-destroyed.

It’s quite ironic, as  i must be one of the very few people who utterly despise all sorts of porn…

early beginnings..

this is one of my first ever attempts in mograph back the late 20th century!

this …piece, was used for my “density-of-state” cdROM while at the Westminster Uni in 1998! What followed in 1999 was the subsequent release of my “density of state : allied force” cd by the late POETA NEGRA !
